#2 QO-100 Use Case and reference equipment set needed.

The Geostationary QO-100 satellite offers potential for wide area voice and potentially high speed data working across the UK and IARU region 1.

Other Special Interest Groups ( BATC, AMSAT ) have started to develop simple designs and there is much more on YouTube and in the press.

Issue opened to gather information, reduce this to a potential RAYNET-UK model design and develop the use case for the system.

QO-100 Geostationary Satellite

Could members who have active stations on the QO-100 Geostationary satellite please get in touch with the Technical Team at technical@raynet-uk.net ? There is a great deal of interest in what this satellite could do around IARU Region 1, especially since an Emergency Centre of Activity frequency was established in the satellite’s bandplan. The initial enquiry would look to put UK stations together for testing before trying a Region 1 test.
